WHAT I DO

ACADEMICS

LAW PRACTICE

LAW PRACTICE

I earned my PhD from the philosophy department at Florida State University in 2025.  I've designed and taught courses in Ethical Theory, Ethical Issues, Introduction to Philosophy, and Philosophy of Law and Critical Thinking. My academic work focuses on legal concepts such as reasonableness, causation, consent, and intention, and how these concepts can be engineered to serve various legal functions. I currently serve as adjunct faculty at Stetson University.

As an attorney licensed in both Florida and Hawaii I've served as an assistant public defender for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida and as a staff attorney for a the Domestic Violence Action Center, a non-profit in Honolulu. Currently, I operate a solo practice offering estate planning services, as well as various forms of legal research and writing.

LIFE

Developing novel skills is necessary for a life of  flourishing. Among other things, I enjoy playing the piano, sailing, and cultivating a beginner's mind.
